Great Range Mountain Guides LLC is the premier guide service in the Adirondacks. Your guides are a mix of local fixtures and AMGA certified instructors — the most experienced local climbing guides in the entire Adirondack Park. There is no comparable group of guides available elsewhere in the Adirondacks.
Great Range Mountain Guides is based in the Adirondack Mountains of New York State. We are focused on providing quality and educational experiences in rock climbing, ice climbing, technical mountaineering and slide climbing. The name, Great Range, is an acknowledgment of the company's roots in the Adirondacks where the "Great Range" forms the core of the most rugged High Peaks. While also being aspirational, as we all strive to teach and empower our guests with the skills and confidence to range more greatly in their endeavors.
